The wedding is over but the marriage has just begun!
I’m headed to my home state of Indiana to celebrate one of my dear friend’s Bridal Shower/Bachelorette Party Indy-style! Wish us luck as we tear up the town during her last fling before the ring! We have a lot of fun surprises up our sleeves in a weekend full of dancing, cocktails, gossip, and celebration!
Garter? Check!
Lingerie? Check!
Edible Underwear? Check!
The most epic Bachelorette party in history? Double Check!

My sister/maid of honor gets a big shout out for throwing the most epic bachelorette party EVER! And my friends! Oh…I L.O.V.E. my friends! It was so special to have girls from all stages of my life celebrate with me with big smiles on their faces and wigs on their heads!
We “wigged out” and had fun at a fancy dinner with belly dancers, a limo ride through the city, pictures at the monuments, and a few dances on bars!
We started out at the Hotel Helix with a big bottle of Vodka!
…and a few group shots!
We then had a Moroccan dinner at Marrakesh. And yes! you eat with your hands!
The owner of Marrakesh came over to personally congratulate me and to take a picture of the bridal party, which he put on his website!
…then we hopped in a limo and toured the city! Me with the Moms!

and then I took a short “power” nap!
That was the night in a nutshell! The pictures & stories I have could never do the night justice! Trust me! It was EPIC!
My Bachelorette Party is less than two weeks away! My sister/maid of honor informed me that I need a wig for the girls’ night out, so I headed over to Judy’s Beauty in the Brentwood area of DC.
Good thing Beetle was there to document the fun!
Wig #1: The first wig I tried was blonde with black undertones. The front was long with a thick bang, while the back was short & layered, a la Nicki Minaj style.
Wig #2: The second wig was the most unfortunate looking one! Let’s just say that I don’t have the face to pull off long brown curly hair without bangs! Yikes!
Wig #3: Wig #3 was a long brown barrel-curled style with bangs. It reminded me of Ms. Britney Spears in “Toxic.”
Wig #4: The fourth and final wig I tried was a funky, fun short brunette style. It was definitely designed for the fashion-forward gal who likes to push the envelope.
To be truthful, I couldn’t decide between Wig #3 and Wig #4 so I bought both. At $30 a pop, I thought they were a steal!
